ProteoSense, founded in 2013, is building a patent-pending  platform with the capability to accurately detect  foodborne pathogens immediately.

Our aspiration is to make foodborne illness a thing of the past.

ProteoSense will help the food industry quickly identify hazards at the front end of the supply chain in 15 minutes or less rather than reacting after a contamination problem has occurred. This helps our customers meet the ever- increasing test demands from their customers—industry giants such as Kroger’s, Wal-Mart, or McDonalds. This helps the whole food supply chain be more successful.

ProteoSense is presently engaged in product testing and validation with strategic partners in the food industry. Our system simplifies FSMA compliance for our customers.

The company holds an exclusive license for a biosensor  technology from The Ohio State University, an equity holder in the company. We are continually seeking out additional technologies to enhance our solution and meet market needs.

ProteoSense was chosen after a highly competitive review process to receive a $100,000 grant from the Ohio Third Frontier Technology Validation & Start-up Fund.

ProteoSense’s solution is in development and testing. The company anticipates field testing within the next 18 months.

With ProteoSense, the process of elimination is much quicker than in a lab. That means that uncontaminated food doesn’t have to sit around for days waiting for test results. There’s no supply chain delay.
